WHEN IS A SURVEY ADVISABLE?
BEFORE Title in land is transferred
BEFORE Logging begins
BEFORE Land is subdivided
BEFORE Land is developed by construction of buildings, roads, fences, etc.
BEFORE A boundary dispute arise
You may believe that a casual inspection of your property will be sufficient to determine its boundaries and assure that all buildings, fences and other improvements on both yours and your neighbor’s land are properly located. If you purchase and/or improve your property without an accurate property survey, you may find that your home is partially located on the Lot next door, or your neighbor’s garage is on your Lot. These problems can be discovered or avoided with a proper land survey.
